Bluebell Stripes
Towards the end of the May, Ashridge Forest in Hertfordshire becomes the home to a carpet of bluebells. The sheer quantity of them and the riot of colour they produce makes them quite a difficult subject to capture photographically. Just as I was about to give up on capturing the scene, the sun came out from behind a cloud and produced these lovely stripes. The light was there for only a few seconds but it transformed the scene into an almost geometric pattern.
