Door Dawn
Dawn rises over Durdle Door.
I am often asked how to get up early for a dawn landscape shoot. For this shot I used the following method:
Have a dog that’s not very well.
Get up at 1:30 to let her outside.
Get up at 3:30 to let her outside again.
Get woken up at 4:30 by a very sorry doggy and an awful smell!
Start clearing the mess off the cream carpet in the holiday home.
Listen to wife throwing up due to the awful smell.
Run downstairs to get more cloths and crack head open on low doorway!
Decide that you are up anyway so you might as well go and shoot some pics.
Get to the location in the dark and discover you have left the lens you had planned to use at home 150 miles away.
After that I deserved some luck and the amazing dawn light provided it.
